Bank of Spain
The Bank of Spain is the national central bank and, within the framework of the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM), the supervisor of the Spanish banking system. As a central bank, it is integrated into the European System of Central Banks, participating in the definition and execution of the monetary policy of the euro zone to maintain price stability in that, promote the proper functioning of payment systems and to put into circulation the legal tender bills and the metallic currency. The Collegio Carlo Alberto (CCA) is a foundation created in 2004 as a joint initiative of the Compagnia di San Paolo and the University of Torino. Its mission is to carry out frontier research and education in the social sciences, as well as to contribute to the public policy debate.
